Test & Validation Lead
Position Overview
Overseeing the testing and validation processes for the organization's software and hardware products to ensure they meet the highest quality standards. This leadership role requires extensive experience in testing methodologies and a commitment to delivering top-notch quality assurance in the organization's technical projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the testing and validation processes for both software and hardware products, ensuring that all requirements are met and that products are delivered to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and methodologies, including both manual and automated testing approaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and quality assurance, to identify testing requirements and ensure alignment throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Utilize advanced testing tools and methodologies to ensure effective and efficient testing processes, continuously refining practices to improve overall quality.
- Oversee the execution of test cases, coordinate testing schedules, and ensure timely reporting of testing progress and results.
- Identify, document, and manage defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Mentor and guide junior testing team members, fostering a culture of quality assurance and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, etc.), Information Technology, or a related technical field is essential. Specialized training in quality assurance, testing, or validation is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of software and/or hardware testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience in both manual and automated testing.
- Typically, 5-10 years of experience in software or hardware testing and validation roles, with a minimum of3 years in a leadership or oversight capacity.
