Position Overview

Guiding and mentoring technical teams in the development and implementation of software solutions. You will oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring best practices in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), and infrastructure management.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools and platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, or CircleCI.
  • Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to automate and streamline infrastructure management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring reliability and scalability of applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development and DevOps.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, helping to resolve complex technical challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. This provides foundational knowledge in both software development and IT operations.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Several years of experience in DevOps or related roles. Experience should include managing the software development lifecycle, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and infrastructure management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
