Project Engineer
Position Overview
Planning, executing, and overseeing engineering projects from initiation to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project execution.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project milestones and deliverables.
- Implement project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical), or a related field. This provides a solid foundation in engineering principles and project management.
- Strong skills in project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Several years of experience in project engineering or management. Experience should include planning, executing, and overseeing engineering projects from initiation to completion.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
