Network Administrator
Position Overview
A strong background in network infrastructure management and a passion for ensuring the reliability and security of our network systems. This role is essential for maintaining our network's performance and supporting our organization's IT needs.
Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure the security of the network by implementing best practices and security protocols.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement network solutions that meet organizational requirements.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users regarding network-related issues.
- Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and trends to recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is beneficial. Alternatively, vocational training or an apprenticeship in IT, such as Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration or IT-Systemelektroniker, is highly relevant.
- Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Typically, 2-5 years of experience in network administration or a related role, with hands-on experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance.
