Machine Learning Engineer
Position Overview
Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models that solve complex business problems. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders to create scalable and efficient ML solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement machine learning models and algorithms to address specific business challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand the data needs for ML projects.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or C++ to develop and optimize machine learning solutions.
- Leverage popular ML frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras, or XGBoost to build and deploy models.
- Conduct experiments and analyze model performance, making necessary adjustments to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, and industry trends.
- Document processes, methodologies, and best practices for machine learning projects to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. A PhD is an advantage, particularly for research-intensive roles.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in machine learning, such as Python, R, Java, or C++.
- Experience with popular ML frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras, or XGBoost.
- Several years of hands-on experience in machine learning, data science, or AI projects, demonstrating a successful track record of implementations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
