IT Quality Assurance Coordinator
Position Overview
Managing and coordinating the quality assurance processes for the organization's software projects. You will work closely with development teams to ensure that the organization's products meet the highest quality standards and are delivered on time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QA strategies, plans, and schedules for software projects.
- Coordinate and manage the QA process, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define testing scope.
- Utilize QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, QTP, or similar software for test case management, bug tracking, and automation.
- Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in testing methodologies and tools.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QA processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. This educational background provides a strong foundation in technical and analytical skills necessary for QA roles.
- Proficiency with QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, QTP, or similar software for test case management, bug tracking, and automation.
- Strong understanding of various testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, V-Model) and types of testing (e.g., functional, regression, performance, usability).
- Several years of experience in quality assurance or software testing, with a focus on managing and coordinating QA processes. Experience should include test planning, execution, and defect management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
