IT Configuration Coordinator
Position Overview
Managing and coordinating the configuration of IT systems to ensure security and compliance. You will work closely with various teams to implement security measures, assess risks, and maintain the integrity of the organization's IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the configuration and management of IT systems to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security technologies, including firewalls, IDS, IPS, and encryption methods.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks across IT systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, security policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of security measures and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Lead incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution of security incidents and breaches.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on security best practices and configuration management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A strong technical foundation is crucial for understanding and managing IT security risks.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS, IPS, and encryption methods.
- Expertise in risk assessment and management, with the ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks across IT systems.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in IT security, with progressive responsibilities, including experience in a managerial or leadership role. Experience should cover areas such as network security, data protection, incident response, and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
