Position Overview
Identifying vulnerabilities and assessing the security posture of the organization through comprehensive penetration testing. Your expertise in ethical hacking methodologies and security practices will be crucial in helping the organization protect its systems and data from potential threats.
Responsibilities
- Conduct penetration tests on networks, applications, and systems to identify vulnerabilities and evaluate security postures, providing detailed reports on findings and actionable recommendations for remediation.
- Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to simulate real-world attacks, ensuring a thorough evaluation of security measures in place.
- Analyze and understand network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S) and web application security vulnerabilities, including SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to communicate findings and assist in the implementation of security improvements and best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and ethical hacking techniques to continuously enhance skills and methodologies.
- Participate in security awareness training and workshops to educate staff on security best practices and the importance of maintaining a secure environment.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Specialization in ethical hacking or cybersecurity is advantageous.
- Proficiency in performing penetration tests on networks, applications, and systems to identify vulnerabilities and assess security postures.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S) and web application security (e.g., SQL injection, XSS, CSRF).
- Typically, 2-5 years of experience in ethical hacking, penetration testing, or related cybersecurity roles.
