BI Project Manager
Position Overview
Supervising the planning, execution, and delivery of business intelligence projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure that BI solutions meet client requirements and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for BI and data analytics projects, from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables that align with business goals.
- Utilize project management software such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello to track project progress and manage resources effectively.
- Implement Agile and Scrum methodologies to enhance project delivery and team collaboration.
- Design and interpret complex data visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA with a focus on technology or data management is advantageous.
- Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is often required.
- Ability to design and interpret complex data visualizations and dashboards that communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Several years of experience in project management, particularly in managing BI or data analytics projects. Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver projects on time.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
